Lake Mburo National Park

Overview

Lake Mburo National Park, although one of Uganda’s smallest, offers a mighty spectacle. Its swaying savannah grasses and riverside habitats teem with buffalo herds, zebras, prancing reedbucks, and elusive hyenas.

Today, much of the region is covered in young forests that sprout from the swamps lining the shores of the titular lake. These woodlands create optimal game viewing conditions during the dry season, attracting animals to the watering holes.

Adding to its allure, Lake Mburo National Park stands as one of the country’s most accessible destinations. Conveniently located along the Kampala highway, the Ugandan capital, its beauty and wildlife are within easy reach for visitors.
